The Basha Bear Network is committed to making this website accessible to everyone, including visitors with disabilities. As a student-run program at Basha High School, we believe our content should be usable by the entire community we serve.
Our Commitment
We strive to follow widely accepted web accessibility guidelines, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). We work to make this site usable with keyboards, screen readers, and other assistive technologies, and we review the site as it grows to keep it accessible.
Accessibility Features
This website includes a number of features intended to make it easier to use:
- A "Skip to main content" link for keyboard and screen-reader users;
- Clear, visible focus indicators when navigating by keyboard;
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images;
- Semantic page structure and labeled navigation and controls;
- A language selector offering English, Spanish, and French;
- Color choices and text sizes chosen for readable contrast; and
- A responsive layout that adapts to phones, tablets, and computers.
Third-Party Content
Some content on our site, such as embedded YouTube videos, is provided by third parties whose accessibility we do not control. We encourage those providers to meet accessibility standards, and we are happy to help you access the information in that content another way if needed.
